I had a friend who lived in a house with a wooded hillside behind. There were many squirrels, and the squirrels would come to his house and chew on it, and gnaw through exposed TV cables, because squirrels are assholes. So he would sit in his kitchen with a .22 and snipe the squirrels from inside the house. That way, the neighbors wouldn’t hear. I doubt he ever fully solved his squirrel problems, though.
